Shipping policy

Shipping costs are a flat rate of $3.50 for any amount of single figures in the United States.  This typically includes Alaska and Hawaii, but may be subject to change without notice.  Additional shipping rates may be added based on size and weight of the package.

If two or more orders are made by the same customer and shipped to the same address, the will typically be combined and a refund for the excess shipping costs will be issued, less a small amount to cover fees, such as payment processing.  This only applies to items that have not been packaged, shipped, or postage generated.

In the instance of a shipping discount or free shipping based on the dollar amount of the cart, the shipping discount applies to the sum total of a single order after all other discounts and promotions are applied, if applicable.  Free shipping will not be applied to multiple orders that have been shipped together unless one of the orders has met the required criteria for free shipping.  This includes two or more orders in which the sum total meets the free shipping criteria, but as single orders neither meet the criteria.

Any free shipping promotions offered by the store apply to United States shipments only and not International shipments.  A Free Shipping promotion is always automatically applied to the order once the required dollar amount threshold is met and is not issued any other way, manually or automated.  Free shipping is never offered Internationally.

International shipping costs are based on weight and the actual costs associated with shipping to your country.  This cannot be negotiated.  For International orders consisting of multiple items, please contact before ordering if there may be a discrepancy with the order volume and shipping cost. 

International customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or other fees associated with delivery to your location.  It is no the responsibility of the store (Takarabako) to know the rules, regulations, or additional costs associated with delivery to your country.  Please check beforehand with your local post office if there are any questions or concerns.

If you choose a shipping method that is not insured, the store (TAKARABAKO) will not be responsible for any loss, replacement, or refund of any merchandise or shipping costs.  Please understand that you assume the risk by choosing a cheaper uninsured shipping method.
